Located in the outskirts of the city, this property was chosen to get away from the chaos and noise of the city. A place to relax and reflect, the home was designed to benefit from the views and create spaces where the family could spend time together. The house was designed in an open plan organized around a central skylit courtyard bringing in and exploiting the play of light as the day goes by. A bespoke waterfall in the courtyard carries the sound of flowing water through all levels of the houses, creating a sense of calm and quiet. The social spaces organized around the courtyard were designed to open out into semi-covered spaces to enjoy the views all around. Built on less than a ground, we introduced spaces and features for the client to grow as many plants as possible. An emphasis on natural materials and the incorporation of rainwater harvesting systems as well as some solar power systems have been introduced into the design.
