This house was designed as a post retirement home for a couple who are both passionate about gardening. Located in the fast developing suburb of Urapakam, this property was envisioned as a little oasis where they could grow all their own produce and spend summers with their grandchild. The site dictated a linear plan with the common spaces on the ground floor and the private spaces on the first opening out into a terrace where the family could entertain. Cozy little framed nooks and verandahs were incorporated in the design where the couple could read, embroider and relax while watching the world go by.
